| The Huanghe Scenic Area | ||

The
Huanghe scenic area is located 30 kilometres northwest of Zhengzhou on the
south bank of the Huanghe River. With the mountain in the background and
the river flowing down nearby, it provides a magnificent view. The luxuriant
trees, beautiful flower, green grass, exquisite pavilions, towers, fountains,
and sculptures make the area most attractive.
In 1972, a pumping station was set up at the Mangshan Mountain, raising the water up to the mountain and adding luster to the scenic area of the Huanghe River. Climbing up to the Jimu Pavilion and looking eastward you will see the majestic river surging forward with two bridges spanning it, looking westward you will see all the peaks of the Mangshan Mountain. in the distance there are historical relies, such as the Ruins of the Forts of King of Han and King of Chu, Honggou (big chasm) and Aocang (the granary) etc, reminding you of the story that the King of Han and the King of Chu were struggling for Power. | |
