The Garden of the Master of Nets has hosted programs under the general
title of An Evening at the Garden from mid-March to mid-November.
They consist of eight programs of traditional opera singing and dancing,
including accompanied storytelling in local dialect and the nationally
popular Beijing Opera. All the Waiters and waitresses wear Ming-Dynasty
costumes. The lanterns, moonlight and reflections of the pavilions
in the pools all add an atmosphere of romance and mystery to the activity.
