Banquet: |
Originated in the Tang Dynasty, it is an imperial-style banquet cooked
and served on a boat. Most of the food was poached or stewed. Popular
dishes still served include Golden Wild Duck and Emerald Crab. |

of shrimp and tomato sauce over a deep-fried rice crust. |

It consists of thin wheat flour-based wrapper stuffed with chicken,
shrimp and pork, which are then boiled in chicken broth. |
| Songhelou: |
This is the most famous restaurant in town. Songhelou serves fancy
imperial-style Suzhou cuisine and claims to have served the Emperor
Qian Long, back in the Qing Dynasty. |

Noodle Shop: |
This wonderful little place serves delicious homemade noodles that
are said to be made according to an original Qing Dynasty recipe created
at the famed Subong Noodle restaurant. |
