The
yufeng Temple sits at the foot of the Yulong Snow Mountain. Built in the
last year of the Kangxi Period of the Qing Dynasty, it is one of the
five important Lamaist temples in Lijiang. The layout of the Main Hall
is a courtyard consisting of a gate tower, the main hall, and two side
halls. The roof of the main hall is in double-storied eaves with the lower
story decorated, showing a distinctive architectural style of the Qing
dynasty. The Buddha figure on the side-board of the horizontal beam displays
a Tibetan style of Tangka (a kind of Tibetan painting on cloth).
